No man wants to walk around with toilet paper bits attached to his face. But how can you limit razor nicks, the tiny cuts that might arise while shaving and cause your face to bleed in spots? First, use an advanced razor, such as Gillette Fusion Power and make sure your blade is sharp as even the best blades dull over time. Make sure you hydrate for as long as three minutes (ideally during a hot shower) to soften facial hair prior to shaving. Apply plenty of shave gel and allow it to soak in as long as possible. Shave slowly, without too much pressure, and re-apply shave gel if necessary. Men and women should never share the same razor. Aside from the hygiene issue, women also have a much larger area to shave, and men might find that their blades have dulled considerably if they share the same razor. A dull razor increases the likelihood of nicks or cuts, while a fresh, high-quality razor will provide an exceptionally close, clean shave.
